Thank you for your interest in applying to Young Scholars Charter School. We are currently accepting applications for the 2010 – 2011 school year. Applications will be accepted for students who are (1) residents of City of Philadelphia and (2) will successfully complete 5th or 6th grade by August, 2010.

Young Scholars Admissions Process

STEP ONE

Complete and submit the application & all required documents in person or by mail by 5:00pm on April 23, 2010. An application can be downloaded HERE or picked up at one of our information sessions.

STEP TWO

Attend one Information Session. All families are required to attend an information session in order to complete the application process.

Information sessions will held:

• Tuesday, March 9 | 6-7 PM
• Tuesday, March 16 | 6-7 PM
• Saturday, April 10 | 11am - Noon
• Saturday, April 17 | 11am - Noon
  

STEP THREE

Enrollment at Young Scholars. Because we are not selective, if there are more applicants than spaces available, students will be entered into a lottery and chosen at random. Entry into our lottery is contingent upon all components of the application being present by April 23rd. Young Scholars’ lottery will be held on May 3rd. Students not selected in the lottery will be placed on our waitlist.
