At YSCS, we know that to have a wonderful work environment, you must be a critical player in the decision-making process. That’s why all YSCS staff members have a voice in our decision making processes and are given the opportunity to influence the overall direction of our school. Whether the decision be big or small, we believe it's important for all of our staff to play a role in the decision making process. In fact, this years school calendar has recently been recreated by teachers for teachers, to ensure our school works around the needs of our critical team players.

YSCS offers a competitive salary and benefits package that sets us apart from other schools. Teachers are offered a $1,250 stipend for pre approved professional development, education coursework, or certification related expenses, to encourage constant growth and progression as a community.  Teachers also have the opportunity to earn additional stipends for involvement in the leadership of after-school programs. Salary increases are available throughout teachers' duration at YSCS, varying based on the time spent at YSCS. Additional benefits include matches to retirement contributions of up to 5%, which are subject to additional match amounts after 5 years of service.
